My Focus

My theoretical orientation is primarily holistic, honoring the whole person in his/her environment. I have a strong foundation in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and ego psychology which helps me to recognize unconsious conflicts blocking clients from moving forward. I also use a strengh based model as well as creativity to help build self-worth and for empowerment. Rather than pathologizing clients, I prefer to view all people as having the capacity for greater wellness given the opportunity to pursue a more natural approach to healing.

Groups I Work With

Areas of Clinical Interest and Substantial training: Anxiety, Depression, Stress Management, Art/Dance Therapy, Anger, Grief/Loss, Creativity, Divorce/Separation, Trauma/PTSD, Cultural Issues, Relationships/Communication

Additional Information
