Willow
Rose

For nearly twenty years, I have provided counseling and psychotherapy to the Eugene community while working in public oriented mental health centers, non-profits, in home and schools, hospice and private practice. I seek to live my personal life from a base of compassion, respect and authenticity and also strive to create these values as the foundation of my professional practice as well. Six decades of life have supported my own journey and instilled a deep honoring and humble acknowledgement of the resiliency and healing power available within each human spirit.

I have been in clinical practice for almost 30 years providing individual, marital, and family therapy. I view an individual's history as a significant contributor to how they cope and adapt through the challenges and opportunities, life presents.  While considering history, I tend to pay close attention to current strengths and resiliencies as I work with clients in addressing the variety of concerns and problems that people present with.  I tend to look at internal thoughts as a contributor to self-defeating behaviors and as impediments to growth and transformation.

My approach to therapy comes from a Jungian
perspective which honors the whole individual
and supports each person’s healing process.
Feelings of depression, anxiety, anger, etc. are meaningful
expressions of a deeper source. Our difficulties,
disappointments, and our suffering are the material from
which transformation emerges. Self-awareness grows by
looking deeply into your life experiences, embodying your
feelings, and giving attention to the images that appear in
both waking life and in dreams.
