We are a highly skilled panel of experienced mental health practitioners who treat mental and emotional disorders as well as help people deal with difficult and challenging life problems.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker in Tualatin. I work with In-House Counseling which is a group of therapists that have partnered with Adventist Healthcare. I see children, adolescents, and adults for individual therapy. I also do family and group therapy. I find that family work can be incredible successful for children and teens who are dealing with school, relational, and behavioral issues.

For nearly twenty years, I have provided counseling and psychotherapy to the Eugene community while working in public oriented mental health centers, non-profits, in home and schools, hospice and private practice. I seek to live my personal life from a base of compassion, respect and authenticity and also strive to create these values as the foundation of my professional practice as well. Six decades of life have supported my own journey and instilled a deep honoring and humble acknowledgement of the resiliency and healing power available within each human spirit.
I have been in clinical practice for almost 30 years providing individual, marital, and family therapy. I view an individual's history as a significant contributor to how they cope and adapt through the challenges and opportunities, life presents. While considering history, I tend to pay close attention to current strengths and resiliencies as I work with clients in addressing the variety of concerns and problems that people present with. I tend to look at internal thoughts as a contributor to self-defeating behaviors and as impediments to growth and transformation.
While I have a psychodynamic base, I think in terms of developmental psychotherapy using a developmental model to locate stuck points in cooperation with the client. I use Transactional Analysis, Kiersey temperament self assessment, Burns Cognitive therapy workbook.
As a Clinical Social Worker, I bring an eclectic perspective and background into my practice. I firmly believe that everyone has the right to access mental services. I use a blend of many different treatment modalities into my practice. My clients range from adolescents to the elderly. My background includes 12 years working in Hospice and as the director of a children's grief program. I also work as a mental health specialist in a local high school. I am also a Vietnam Era Veteran. I have over 18 years clinical practice.
